To assist you with the difficult task of choosing the right
consultant, we list underneath seventeen important reasons for engaging us - Pollution Control Consultancy and Design (PCCD).
Pollution Control Consultancy and Design (PCCD) is
autonomous: it operates without any government,
commercial
and/or political affiliation, and our only aim is to provide
the best, impartial advice to our clients.
Because we are independent, any discussion between you
and us, and any findings resulting from our activities
carried out on your behalf remain strictly confidential.

We use the best, world-class quality and up-to-date professional tools (measuring equipment, computers, printers and software), but we keep other overheads low, and consequently we are able to match or even better any reasonable fees proposed by our competitors.
There is a number of consulting firms that have
established their reputation and name through their most
experienced and talented consultants.
However, in many
cases, these consultants have no time to supervise all
(especially smaller) projects. Such projects are often
carried out by junior, less experienced staff.
On contrary, ALL OUR PROJECTS (both small and large) are closely supervised and endorsed by our Principal Consultant, whose formal qualifications and extensive professional experience guarantee the high quality of project results.
We are aware that some environment protection problems are site-specific and difficult to describe and recognize over the telephone.
Therefore, in such cases, our initial site inspections, discussions and advice are free.
We believe that our clients should fully understand our advice and therefore we clearly explain our findings and recommendations.
And we have the ability and experience to put even very complicated technical concepts in simple terms.
Many consultants produce voluminous and confusing reports, in which they identify your problems but do not (or are not able to) provide the most important and essential for you part, viz. the solution.
Our reports are as clear and concise as possible (from
time to time, by necessity, they include a large number of
appendices for
experts that may review our reports), and
they always include firm and practical recommendations on
steps to take to eliminate problems the we have discovered,
if any.
We never complete our reports leaving you with a question: so what should I do next?
We endeavor to provide complete ("one-stop-shop") services in environment protection and therefore our services cover most aspects of air, noise and water pollution control.
However, in cases when we feel that our expertise does not go far enough, we subcontract the most competent (in our opinion) consultants currently available on the market.
A vast part of our projects includes environmental and occupational noise assessments and engineering control.
These projects are based on measurements with the best available, world-renowned Brüel & Kjær (B&K), Modular, Precision Real-Time Sound and Vibration Analyzers types: 2250 and 2270, and type: 2260 Investigator.
Measurements of the sound intensity have enormous applications in the modern engineering noise control.
These measurements are carried out with state-of-the-art
and expensive equipment, and therefore
only few
acoustical consultants provide such measurements.
Using specialized, very low-sensitivity, Brüel & Kjær
(B&K) and G.R.A.S. pressure-field, ¼'' microphones
with the latest technology
Brüel & Kjær (B&K) Modular
Precision Real-Time Sound Analyzers types:
2250 and
2270, we are able to measure the level of noise of
up to
200 dB (e.g. measurements of occupational noise at shooting ranges
and near explosions) - common measurements go to not more
than 140 dB.
Using specialized, extremely low cut-off frequency, Brüel & Kjær (B&K) pressure-field, ½'' microphones type 4193 with the latest technology Brüel & Kjær (B&K) Modular Precision Real-Time Sound Analyzers types: 2250 and 2270, we are able to measure infrasound (sound from 0.1 Hz to 20 kHz, e.g. measurements of sound near wind farms, and sound from subwoofers, explosions, and large diesel engines and transformers) - common measurements start at not less than about 6 Hz.
We measure simultaneously noise and vibration in three directions with unique Four-channel, Real-Time, Class 1, Sound and Vibration Analyzers Svantek type:
Svan 958.
This is particularly useful for measurements of:
= ground and building vibration caused by mines, construction sites, road traffic and trains;
and
= monitoring of condition of machines.

Pollution Control Consultancy and Design (PCCD) follows
the old, simple and quite often forgotten business
philosophy
that the most effective form of marketing is
to satisfy their clients.
We meet clients in our Sydney Office, which is
conveniently located at the
heart of Sydney CBD, a walking distance from
Martin
Place, St James and Wynyard train stations.
