Measurements of infrasound (very low-frequency sound), e.g. sound near Wind Farms

With our comprehensive academic qualifications coupled with extensive practical engineering experience and technical skills, and with our all-inclusive, world-class, specialist measuring equipment and software, we will find effective solutions to essentially any noise problems.

Infrasound - low-frequency noise

Measurements of Infrasound

Pollution Control Consultancy and Design (PCCD) provides outstanding, state-of-the-art, most advanced, second-to-none measurements of Infrasound (very low-frequency sound/noise between: 0.1 Hz and 20 Hz) near:

  -   wind farms;
  -   power stations;
  -   mines;
  -   transformers;
  -   boilers, gas turbines and cooling towers;
  -   artillery and mining explosions;
  -   large diesel engines, compressors, pumps, blowers and ventilation fans; and
  -   sound amplification systems/subwoofers.

We carry out such measurements with the latest technology, world-renowned Brüel & Kjær (B&K), Modular, Precision, Real-Time, Sound and Vibration Analyzers type: 2250 and 2270, with ½" Microphones type 4193 and UC-0211 Adapters.

NOTE: A number of people around the world are disturbed by low frequency sound, which they typically describe as something like a low rumble/hum/drone or air-borne vibration.
Only a small proportion of people are affected, but those who are can be severely distressed, can lose sleep and suffer other symptoms like depression.
